This product uses literature to help students think critically about stereotypes. This mini-unit specifically addresses gender stereotypes. Students will demonstrate their learning by creating and illustrating a character that breaks a gender stereotype. The two mentor texts used within this product are Made by Raffi by Craig Pomranz and The Princess Knight by Cornelia Funke. However, other mentor texts you might have would work perfectly well.
